Description
Make the time on your wrist shine. Answering the community's call, it's the first STERNGLAS model to feature dual-tone Luminova – a feature born from your desires.
Luminova, the luminous material, stores light to ensure readability even in low-light conditions. Whether it's an evening stroll or an extended hike or bike ride, the Lumatik Automatic guarantees clarity and safety.
Combining functionality with flair, the Lumatik Automatic showcases the luminous compound across its white numerals and orange indexes and hands.
Worry-free thanks to sapphire crystal
We only use sapphire crystal for our timepieces. This type of watch glass is usually found in the luxury watch market.
For a perfect view of the dial, we apply a double anti-reflective coating to the sapphire crystal.
Just like the clearest sky, the satin-finished dial shines in a fresh light blue, giving this timepiece a sporty and summery appearance. The shading around the enlarged numbers creates a modern 3D effect that immediately catches the eye.
Protected by a case made of stainless 316L steel and double-domed, scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, the Lumatik is optimally shielded. With its slim 38 mm diameter, it's also suitable for narrower wrists. The Lumatik is a reliable companion for every day adventure – further enhanced by even more precise technology on the inside.
Automatic Movement with up to 60-Hour Power Reserve
The upgraded Miyota 8315 automatic movement gives the Lumatik even more endurance. It boasts a significantly longer power reserve of up to 60 hours compared to the Miyota 8215's 42 hours – noticeable by the red 60 on the dial.
This means you can set aside your timepiece for two days without it stopping and needing a reset. This is quite convenient if you want to switch to another STERNGLAS model. Your Lumatik will then be waiting for you for the next everyday adventure.
A sign of attention to detail is the blued screws, often found in luxury watches as an elegant and decorative element. Bluing is a traditional process where the screws are heated to produce the characteristic blue color. This durable timepiece requires no batteries and operates with the movement of your wrist. Moreover, it's water-resistant up to 5 ATM.
Luminova – an innovative Light Storage Solution
When it's dark, even the best watch is of no use. This was the thought process of the Japanese manufacturer Nemoto & Co. as well. In the early 1990s, they invented a luminescent material that revolutionized the world of watches: Luminova.
This innovation enables the Lumatik timepiece to store light and emit it in the dark, which is why it's also referred to as a glow-in-the-dark color.
This ensures you can always see the time. The brightness and duration of the Luminova effect depend on the intensity of the light source. The longer the darkness lasts, the fainter the glow.
